Anyone for an award?

This is an award thingy which I don’t think involves any money prizes, but might be good profile for elfmers. Linda

Children and Young People Now is calling for entries to the Positive Images Awards 2008. Open to youth organisations and the media, the awards aim to combat the negative portrayal of young people in the media by recognising the positive contributions they make across the UK.

Best broadcast created by young people
for young people

This category is open to youth groups that have produced
their own broadcast material targeting their peers in 2007.
Entries can cover radio (online, digital or analogue),TV,
film or podcasts. An entry can be one programme or a se-
ries of programmes. The judges will try to watch as much
as possible but please nominate 15 minutes to represent
the coverage. Entries should be on video tape, cassette,
TV or DVD, clearly labelled with date and time of broad-
cast, and an explanation of how it was distributed, who it
is aimed at, how many young people saw/heard it and how
young people were involved in creating it.
