meetings and more

Ace ELFM meeting last night - thanks to all who came - old hands and new friends.

Main points were:

• New website: Everyone agreed that the new website is ace (thanks Ben and Will) and that there are all kinds of possibilities for blogging, podcasting and generally having a whole range of conversations about East Leeds and beyond - between ourselves and encouraging all sorts of people to take part - not just at broadcast times. Went through the use of the RSS feed to keep in touch with all the new stuff that’s being put up there…
• Future plans: Discussed all the upcoming plans for podcasts, internet broadcasts, fm broadcasts and broadcasts from on top of t’moor. Details are kept up-to-date on the details of next broadcast page (click the link or follow the permanent link from the bottom of the Next Broadcast box on the elfm home page)
• How to do it all: First off we might even have ourselves a permanent home – have a look at Home at Last? And we have been awarded a 3-year grant from the Tudor Trust to employ a project co-ordinator. So we’ve got Adrian as Director (or grumpy grandad); Ed in his new role as Music Director (uncle wannabee) and soon a Project Coordinator… (and then there’s the important people!)

It’s all go.

More applause for Ben and Will at Common Agency as they put the finishing touches to the website. As you may have noticed you can be a bit more ponsy with your post layout (although for some reason the italics don’t seem to be working yet?). At long last you can download any audio to your heart’s content - (just click on the download button underneath the audio file in the posts). And best of all - you can now subscribe to the podcasts via itunes. Ben will be putting a big subscribe button up soon - but if you want to be one of the first to subscribe and play your elfm podcasts of your ipod (or other non-proprietary mp3 player) then click this link (You could be the first to write a review…)
