After our short summer break we return into the blazing Indian Summer for this years ‘Lark In The Park’. We’ve spent years at ELFM Towers bemoaning the lack of live music in East Leeds. Well – with a couple of Musicathons under our belt… we are going one step further. On Saturday 25th September we are promoting our first gig in East Leeds headlined by the fabulous Hope & Social and supported by some of the best young bands we have been working with during 2010.

It’s a gig for young people aged 11-18 years old and we really need to get a good audience to prove that people in East Leeds will support local live music. We are putting the gig on as part of the Seacroft and Manston Expression Festival down at the David Young Community Academy (for directions follow the link).

As the sun sets on Moorfest 10 – just a small matter of our last show featuring Family Feelie, Mojo 57, Gary Stewart & friends. Then the Next Genners had a couple of hours to get ready to get up on the Earl Hickey stage with Hope and Social to make a truly memorable Moor Music Festival ‘10.

Moorfest Next Gen meeting, Monday 9th August

Well, the musical radio drama (MRD) was written, produced and recorded in five days as planned. It is called ANYTHING COULD HAPPEN and very good it is too. Congratulations to all the Next Genners who were part of the project. Fantastic, and we use that adjective with conscious intention.

Anything Still Can Happen at the Moorfest which is why all the Next Genners going to the fest are meeting next Monday 9th at Boggart Hill at 11am to plan and schedule. Please be there on time, plenty to get done.
