Congratulations to the Brigshaw High School team from Education Leeds for participating in the Huddersfield Literature Festival and for interviewing Doreen Lawrence.Doreen’s work has inspired many people and led to legislative changes and to the development of the Leeds Stephen Lawrence Education Standard to promote race equality and community cohesion.
Keep up the excellent work you are doing for the Stephen Lawrence Education Standard.

I’ve just been made aware of this by Rehana Minhas and wanted to say well done to Robyn, Bronte, Aisha, Mr Mir and Miss Marsh for doing this: it’s really important and inspiring.

I could see it was going to be quite a challenge, but you rose to it and we’re the beneficiaries of your excellent radio work, keep it up. I’ll listen again when I’ve read Doreen’s book.

Doreen Lawrence is an inspiration. Full of good advice for us all. Intro needed a bit of tidying up though: Stephen’s murderers were not convicted because of police incompetence, which was no doubt linked to institutional racism in the police force.
