Making a donation

East Leeds FM needs your support. There must have been something you’ll like listening to in the 24-hour musicathon; something you would have gone out to see and paid a fiver. Well – how about donating that fiver to ELFM – or more! Just click on the donate button below and you can donate through Paypal…

We do get funding from various sources towards our work, but for the musicathon ELFM is starting a fighting fund to get permanent premises for the community radio station – we’re hoping it will be the beautiful Methodist Chapel in Seacroft – currently unused and in need of renovation – otherwise it might be demolished.

As a matter of principle we are also going to distribute some of the funds to other local arts and community organisations in East Leeds that we think are making a real difference. Namely:

  • Metro Goldwyn Gipton – producers of the fantastically successful Gipton Panto for the last ten years
  • Garforth Arts Festival – linked to Garforth Community College, they have developed a brilliant arts festival which gets better every year
  • Gipton Together – a rooted organisation supporting literally hundreds of local young people to dance, sing and much much more. Organisers of the brilliant Gipton Gala
  • South Seacroft Friends and Neighbours – and our neighbours in the Seacroft Methodist Chapel. Working to support older people in Seacroft

Enjoy the musicathon, and whilst your listening – click on the donate button and give us a fiver…
