broadcasting to both valleys at once
The ELFM Musicathon 2010 has been and gone!
24 hours of music: all live, all local, non-stop… from 3pm on Saturday 1st through to 3pm on Sunday 2nd May 2010. This year the Musicathon was an official Live@Leeds fringe event.
Over 300 performers played, sang and acted over the 24 hours whilst a whole bunch of writers “chimed” the hours in with poetry and prose.
You can to listen again to all 24 hours of Musicathon 2010 right here on the ELFM website (and even watch the live video stream) and, if you still haven’t had enough, then you can still listen to the whole of Musicathon 2009 …
Thank you for all the donations we received during the musicathon … but you can still help ELFM save the Chapel and promote community arts making a difference in East Leeds.
East Leeds FM needs your support. There must have been something you’ll like listening to in the 24-hour musicathon; something you would have gone out to see and paid a fiver. Well – how about donating that fiver to ELFM – or more! Just click on the donate button below and you can donate through Paypal…
We do get funding from various sources towards our work, but for the musicathon ELFM is starting a fighting fund to get permanent premises for the community radio station – we’re hoping it will be the beautiful Methodist Chapel in Seacroft – currently unused and in need of renovation – otherwise it might be demolished.
As a matter of principle we are also going to distribute some of the funds to other local arts and community organisations in East Leeds that we think are making a real difference. Namely:
Enjoy the musicathon, and whilst your listening – click on the donate button and give us a fiver…
Leave us your email address and we’ll remember you next time you visit.
Also if you have a gravatar it will appear next to your comment.>
