As the school term draws to a close, the young people of Leeds are going to need something to keep them busy….but what?
East Leeds FM’s fantastic summer workshops might be the answer!
Just answer these 3 questions…
Are you a young person, aged 12 upwards, living in Leeds?
Would you like to learn how to write a radio drama or write your own songs?
Have you ever wanted to make a music video or be a journalist on the radio?
Over the first 2 weeks of the summer holidays ELFM are running 2 weeks for fantastic free workshops. No previous experience is needed in order to attend – they are suitable for everyone! There are four choices…
Song writing: Monday 23rd July – Friday 27th July 11.00am – 1.00pm
Join us if you want to learn some skills and techniques to create melody and lyrics for your own songs. If you play guitar or bass please bring these along.
How to make a music video: Monday 23rd July – Friday 27th July 2.00pm - 4.30pm
With a focus on creating music videos for bands, we’ll be looking at planning, directing, sound and camera work.
Community Journalism: Monday 30th July – Friday 3rd August 11.00am – 1.00pm
The focus will be interview skills, but we will also create features for our own radio broadcast on the final day.
Radio Drama: Monday 30th July – Friday 3rd August 2.00pm – 4.30pm
Come along and learn how to script your own radio drama. We will focus on the skills needed and have a go at performing our own drama.
You can choose to come to any or all of the workshops but places are limited for each and will be first come first serve.
To take part, download the form, fill it in and return it to heather@headstogether.org or Heather Marsden, 47 Ramshead Hill, Leeds, LS141BT
