As from October 16th, our words schedule at ELFM changes. All the writing programmes will be pressed, like the choicest grapes, into the third Tuesday of the month to make a heady evening-long vintage titled LOVE THE WORDS. Interviews, features, word salads, masterclasses, radio drama: it will all be there.
In the meantime, don’t miss the last Side Salad next Tuesday evening Sept 18th:
6pm – 6.30: An interview with editor of Big Issue (North) by our Next Generation young volunteers. What does it take to be a journalist in a climate of competing new media? What does an editor actually do? What does the Big Issue aim to achieve – and is it meeting the challenge?
6.30pm – 8pm: Four writers from Bradford group Snowgoose present short scripts read Live by our very own ELFM actors. Jonathan Hall, writer and organiser of the group, talks about what Snowgoose do.
Next up with ELFM words broadcasts: the first LOVE THE WORDS, a whole evening of writing programmes, including a Word Salad on the theme of hope, curated and presented by poet Helen Burke. Plus a compendium of work by A.E.Housman created and performed by Trio Literati.
