On 2nd July Tony Benn was speaking at Garforth WMC as part of the Garforth Arts Festival 2008, ELFMers Laura and Eddie got the chance to catch up with him both before and after the event. It’s amazing to hear the great Tony Benn speaking on ELFM. He should be held up as an example of what a politician should be – standing up for what he believes in rather than what the “Party” wants to put across. His helping David Davies’s campaign is certainly evidence of this. It’s interesting to hear the views of the audience who are clearly politically astute – I wonder what can be done to engage the public at large so that they too feel the same?
