Steve Aal and friends came into the studio during the last FAB broadcast to share their passion for French folk music. Have a listen … you are in for a rare treat.

I have always wanted to travel to France for their rich culture. Even if I get close it would be a dream. I love studying music from around the world because it helps in my profession as voice coach. I will come back here often to see what has been added! Star Shields voice lessons

It's a huge subject to tackle in just an hour, and you've only just scratched the surface! France isn't so much a country as a vast patchwork quilt of micronationalities, and this is reflected by the music(s.) The music from Brittany and the Centre isn't necessarily representative of the entire Hexagon. But apart from that I enjoyed the prog. Thank you!

I've met and danced in the company of Yannick and John - and their enthusiasm in person is every bit as great as comes over in this excellent programme. I just wish I could play my 'gurdy so well!
