Temple Moor - first steps
Posted by Adrian on July 3, 2008 – 7:07 pm | 12 CommentsTemple Moor High School got in touch with ELFM to see how we might work together. When we met up, we agreed there was a lot of potential. So today we decided it was time to get on with it! I was invited to work with a group of 20-odd young people from different year groups who were interested in getting involved. It was good fun and they worked hard.
We worked on programme plans and then the different groups had a go at doing the first link for an imaginary programme. You can have a listen below - remember this is their first time ever.
It’s a great job giving people the opportunity to make radio themselves. I’m really looking forward to seeing how they get on when we go for real. Some of the Temple Moor students will be on air live at 1pm on Monday 21st July - the first day of our summer broadcast; we’ve got some work to do but I think we’ll be in for a good show.
Maybe some of them will leave a comment below to let us know how they found their first session - and what they’re looking forward to (or maybe even what they’re worried about!)
