broadcasting to both valleys at once
“From the playground to the people”
ELFM began back in 2003 as a project led by pupils from John Smeaton Community High School. Since then we have enjoyed working with a huge range of schools. Here’s a selection of the best of ELFM’s recent broadcasting done in partnership with local schools

Thanks to everyone for a brilliant day of broadcasting on Tempo Newsam… You can now listen again to all the ace programmes next week – just follow the links in the schedule below…
ELFM had a lovely time with pupils and staff from Templenewsam Halton Primary School. We worked during the week and broadcast on the Thursday. There were a series of programmes during the day… with a few breaks in-between so we can get our breath back… The schedule is below.
TempoNewsam – we think … we do!
Schedule:
9am Sowing the Seeds: Gardening tips and an introduction to the day’s broadcasting
10am On the Beat: Chatting with local PC Peatfield and an introduction to the School Council
11.15am Top of the Class: What we think of our school and interviews with Mrs Mannion – Chair of Governors – and our headteacher Mrs Crellin; plus a special phone interview with Education Leeds top man – Chris Edwards
12pm Caravan of Love: a tribute to Michael Jackson from the Caravan of Love on the field…You just had to be there for the dancing alone … We can’t put the show up because there are too many copyrighted tracks – but have a listen to the premiere of the Y6 girls version of Superstar
1.15pm Making Moves: As our Year 6s prepare to move we talk to some students from Temple Moor… and Mr C prepares for his own journey…
2.30pm Who do we think we are… Reports from the recent multicultural week at Templenewsam Halton (and a special feature on cycle-training and road safety)
phew!
Have a look at the studio webcam shots and leave your comments below – let everyone know what it was like to broadcast live…

anon is anon... I can't tell you! And, sorry Jess, we can't put the caravan of love audio up on the website because it has loads of tracks of copyright music (recorded by artists like Michael Jackson etc) who we are allowed to broadcast but not to leave on the website. But as a special treat I will add the superstar track on its own...
