Colne Valley Radio: schedule and details
Posted by Adrian on February 17, 2009 – 11:33 pm| February 19, 2009 | to | February 22, 2009 |
We are very proud to invite you to listen to the very first broadcasts of Colne Valley Radio – a community radio project being trialled as part of the Moonraking ‘09 festival in Slaithwaite. Have a look at our little leaflet
We will be broadcasting live on the following dates:
- Thurs 19th Feb: 5pm onwards… a relaxing lift-off giving all our volunteers a chance to introduce themselves and play you some great music
- Fri 20th Feb: 5pm onwards... get into orbit with Colne Valley Live – a veritable feast of live music from a whole range of local bands and musicians
- Sat 21st Feb: midday ’til 6pm we will be covering the Moonraking build-up from our very own Lunar Module – the Caravan of Lunar Love which will be sending reports via satellite direct from the circle in Slaithwaite (or is it a hoax?)
- Sun 22 Feb: midday onwards … Splashdown with us for the very first audio and pictures from the previous night’s Moonraking procession (our intrepid reporters will have been up most of the night editing) and then settle in for an afternoon of Colne Valley thoughts and views
It’s your station – so please get in touch:

This is such a good start. I hope it can be extended to other events in the valley. Well done to all involved. Keep it going, it’s important.

Just back from a lovely lunch and tuning in for the final blast of broadcasting. Just to say thanks guys for realising the pilot vision. Colne Valley Radio has been a great experience and hopefully just the start….
A big big thanks too to everyone who works so hard to make the Moonraking Festival happen in big and small ways – it all mixes to make a truely special festival.
