  • Joe - last week 24th July 2015, 8:59pm

Really well said Niall. Mrs Maguire never told you what you couldn’t do, but just did everything to help you realise what you could do. I know that I never would’ve done so much of what I did, particularly with ELFM and with music, if she hadn’t have encouraged us to do what we enjoyed. Like so many I wouldn’t be where I am without her help and tonight is exactly the kind of thing she would’ve supported. Thank you Anne.

  • Peter Spafford - last week 23rd July 2015, 1:59pm

Yes, quite agree about the current use of Gay as insult. Agree absolutely with questioning its use at every opportunity. It seems terribly sad to me that we don’t seem to have progressed since the 1980s. At that time, at the height of Aids (four friends of mine died of Aids) it really was scary for gay people to come out. Why are we still making it so difficult for young people?

  • Chapel FM - last week 23rd July 2015, 12:27pm

Hi Curly …… Pops is listenning :)

  • Linda - last week 22nd July 2015, 5:05pm

If I have a pet hate it is people who drop litter. Some years ago, when walking along the road, a passing car threw a can out of the window that just missed me. As the car pulled up to the traffic lights, I picked up the can and threw it back in the open window!
This was a spontaneous action, but I’m not sure it was a safe thing to do! Made me feel better though :-)

  • Adrian - last week 22nd July 2015, 5:04pm
